TeleCardiology referrals are for diagnosis assistance as well as for definitive management. The modalities include scanned referral letters, resting ECG and stress ECG; digitized X-Rays; angiograms and ECHO images which can be in either DICOM format or video clips. The different levels of referral include:

• sending hospitals with ECHO / stress test but no specialist;
• sending and receiving hospitals with coronary angiogram as well as specialists;
• and tertiary hospitals (receiving)
