Using high-resolution digital cameras, it is possible to acquire images of focal skin lesions or of rashes which can be transmitted to a dermatologist for interpretation. At a resolution of 5 to 10 megapixels, the images can be sized from 640x480 pixels to 1024x768 pixels.
